Why Go on a UWOTF HOsted Trip?
These trips are so much more than a fishing adventure. Women of different ages, professions, backgrounds and fishing abilities come together to experience a trip of a lifetime. It’s a scary thing to step out of their comfort zone and join other women. The energy, laughter, smiles and friendships are like no other. We came as strangers and leave UNITED as fly sisters.

You will depart King Salmon around 6 pm on Saturday, 7/8/23. Plan your flight home after 10 pm out of Anchorage Alaska.
The main lodge where guests gather to share stories around our open great room can best be described as an Alaska luxury fishing lodge. Constructed in 2022, it was designed and furnished with a nod toward the Scandinavian design elements we find fits with the landscape and local vibe. Thanks to our small guest size of 8 each week, you’ll have the opportunity to create the intimate experiences and relationships we all crave in today’s busy world. With exceptional personal service and true hospitality, come join us for an authentic adventure.
Sleeping Accommodations – 2 anglers per guest cabin. Each guest cabins contain private baths, separate sleeping, and a comfortable seating area and each has a riverfront view of the stunning Naknek River.
Every morning the chefs prepare a delicious breakfast to order, as well as coffee, tea, and juice. Amazing lunches are packed for the adventures that are prepared daily using fresh ingredients from local produce and greens from our garden, as well as homemade bread baked daily and sliced fresh. We also bring water for all our guests in reusable YETI bottles.
Upon return to the lodge from your fishing adventure, guests will experience a delicious assortment of appetizers followed by a thoughtfully prepared dinner. For Sockeye and King Salmon, we will use different techniques such as single-handed, two-handed, fly, and conventional methods.
Bring Home Sockeye Salmon
July is Sockeye Salmon season. The trip includes all fish processing, filleted, frozen, and vacuum sealed, placed in an airline-approved fish box. Most hotels in Anchorage have a freezer that you can keep your fish frozen, if you are staying a few extra days.
UWOTF is focusing on Education with all of our hosted trips. The afternoon we arrive to Alaska, Heather will help get everyone dialed with their gear, knots and help fine tune anyone’s casts if wanted. We’ll have nightly discussions about the day and what we can learn from everyone each evening.
Education opportunities on spey casting, single hand casting, developing fishing skills, and Keep Fish Wet science-based practices. Heather can also help you capture your adventure through your phone or DSLR. Don’t forget the line dance lessons in the evenings.

Hosted Trip Disclaimer
This is a Drama Free Trip. There are several factors to a successful day of fishing. We cannot control the weather or fish behavior but we can control the amount of education and fun both United Women on the Fly (UWOTF) and the Lodge at 58 North provides. UWOTF trips are about education, the experience, socializing, and having FUN; catching fish is the cherry on top. Each angler will have their own bed in a shared room (unless single occupancy).
