Join United Women on the Fly and Soul Fly Lodge for our first hosted trip to the Bahamas! We are excited to venture out to Soul Fly Lodge, a partially woman-owned fly fishing lodge, in the pristine Berry Islands. Get ready for five full days of multi-species fishing, exquisite food and unforgettable memories.

Connect in the Facebook Group

Travel
Fly into Fort Lauderdale Airport or Nassau in order to connect to Great Harbour Cay. Utilize the private Facebook group where we will coordinate a layover in Nassau on November 9th for those that want to fly in a day early. Layover costs will be the guest’s responsibility.
Lodging
Sleeping Accommodations – While Soul Fly Lodge is surrounded by a rugged Bahamian landscape, the soft comforts at the lodge will allow you to enter full relaxation mode. There are four private guest rooms each have two comfy beds, individually operated AC units, and en suite bathrooms.
Typical Day
- 6:00a – Coffee’s on.
- 6:45a – Breakfast orders taken. Last minute gear prep.
- 7:00a – Breakfast
- 8:00a – Load onto your skiff for the day & GO!
- Lunch – Your boat’s cooler will be packed with your requested drinks and lunch for the day.
- 4:00p – Back to the Lodge
- 5:30p – Appetizers and cocktails
- 6:30p – Dinner, hang, drinks, stories, all the good stuff…
Fishing Days
Saturday 11/11/23 – Wednesday 11/15/23, 5 days guided fishing.
Fishing Techniques
Fishing from the boat and wading on the flats. Each day will consist of one or both!
Guides
Experienced guides, including the legendary Percy Darville, will show you the fishery through their eyes with decades of experience to rely on.

Brand new skiffs – Maverick 17 HPX-V & S 2021 lodge edition.
Walk and Wade Flats
Extensive wading throughout the Berry Islands with miles of firm white sand flats.
Target Species
Bonefish, Permit, Mutton Snapper, Barracuda, Triggerfish and other bi-catch opportunities.

Education Opportunities
UWOTF is focusing on education with all of our hosted trips. We will offer each angler a link to video casting drills to prepare for fishing saltwater. Each evening we’ll have nightly discussions about the day and what we can learn from everyone. There is a casting platform on-site that provides easy access to some final double haul lessons before we hit the water. Hosted Trip Disclaimer
This is a Drama Free Trip. We will be getting up EARLY on our fishing days. Saltwater fishing can be difficult and it’s highly recommended to practice casting, both distance and accuracy, into the wind before the trip. There are several factors to a successful day of fishing. We cannot control the weather or fish behavior but we can control the amount of education and fun both UWOTF and Soul Fly Lodge provides.
United Women on the Fly trips are about education, the experience, socializing and having FUN; catching fish is the cherry on top. Each angler will have their own bed in a shared room (unless single occupancy) with AC and an en suite bathroom.
There will be one guide and skiff per two anglers every day. Anglers will equally rotate standing on the platform when fishing from the boat. Remember – all guides are not created equal and you may prefer one over another. We will rotate all of the guides and assign your guide each evening. We come to the Bahamas for the incredible fishing opportunities, you won’t regret this trip!!
