Kick off spring 2020 with investing in yourself to become a better fly caster, therefore becoming a better angler. This Co-Ed Level One Indoor Casting Clinic is open to all and geared towards someone who has some casting experience (not a beginner). We will meet indoors every Monday evening for 4 weeks to build a solid fly casting foundation.
The class will be taught in drills. This will allow the caster to breakdown each drill and bring practice ideas home. Each drill is directly related to a fishing situation. By the end of the 4 weeks you’ll be given the drills to pass the Fly Fishers International Bronze Casting Challenge. Heather Hodson can test you for your Bronze Certification. No equipment necessary.
Remember basketball players don’t get good at free throws without practicing for hours shooting free throws.

Heather has dedicated her time to educate and inspire others. Heather is currently studying for her Casting Instructor Certification with Fly Fishers International and has been teaching Fly Fishing since 2014. Heather has been mentored by the best anglers and fly casters in the world. This allows Heather to pass on the knowledge she’s learned to her students. With nearly 130+ days on the water each year and fishing around the world, Heather continues to invest into herself to mentor anglers to be the best that they can be.
The core of fly fishing is fly casting. 75% of fishing is the presentation. In order to present the fly properly an angler must have an understanding of The Principles of Fly Casting. To become a successful fly caster you must apply the Three “P”s; Practice, Patience and Persistence.
Disclaimer – This is not 1 on 1 instruction, there will be 6 fly casters each week. The instructors time will be divided evenly between all the participants. Private lessons are available. Email [email protected] for more information.
