Take your fly casting to the next level by learning how to Double Haul. Double Haul is defined as a haul (pulling on the fly line with the line hand while fly casting) on consecutive casts (back and forward cast. Why is this casting technique important? Hualing is done to increase the speed of your fly line. The benefits are ability to cast into the wind, cast further, be more accurate with narrow loops and ease of the casting arm.
Heather Hodson will provide an easy way to tackle this intimidating fly casting technique We will focus on the fundamentals of the double haul including: timing, haul length and speed. The class will be taught in drills and mostly taught on the horizontal plane. This will allow the caster to breakdown each drill and bring practice ideas home. No equipment necessary.
It is HIGHLY recommended that each participant can cast consistent narrow loops (front and back) before taking this class. The class will be in Spokane and the exact location will be sent before the event. Class time is approximately 1.5 hours and space is limited to 4 Participants.
