UWOTF Mission Statement

At United Women on the Fly (UWOTF), our mission is to empower, unite, and elevate women in fly fishing. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive community where women of all backgrounds and skill levels can connect, learn, and thrive in this sport. Through education, mentorship, conservation, and a commitment to inclusivity, we aspire to create lasting change and ensure that fly fishing is accessible to all. Together, we cast a brighter future for women in the fly-fishing community and celebrate the strength, diversity, and passion that unites us on the water.

UWOTF and iFishiBelong share core values centered around inclusivity, empowerment, leadership cultivation, community, accessibility, respect, education over shaming, collaborations, conservation, and promoting fun and enjoyment in the sport of fishing.

    • We empower our community members to become leaders and experts through education, mentorship, and experiential programs that build confidence and expertise in fishing and conservation.

UWOTF GOals

United Women on the Fly aims to create a supportive online community, actively promote women’s voices in fly fishing, establish a comprehensive resource network, and organize inclusive events to prioritize the safety and inclusivity of all women in the fly fishing community.

  • Online Community – 
    • We aim to create an engaging and supportive online platform where women in fly fishing can connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships, fostering a meaningful and inclusive community.
  • Representation and Amplification – 
    • We aim to actively promote and amplify the voices, stories, and experiences of women from all backgrounds within the fly fishing community. This ensures that every woman feels seen, heard, and valued in our collective narrative.
  • Resources –
    • Our goal is to establish a comprehensive resource network that connects women fly anglers with women guides, women-owned businesses, and women-focused groups, empowering and supporting women’s participation and leadership in the fly fishing industry.
  • Women Fishing Opportunities
    • Our goal is to design and execute events that prioritize the safety and inclusivity of all women, ensuring they feel comfortable, respected, and embraced within the United Women on the Fly community.
